Retail sites reached 88.2 percent of the online audience in Germany, making it the second biggest market in Europe in July 2012. Amazon Sites was the clear leader among the top online retail sites, attracting 31.4 million unique visitors in the month. Local German retailer Otto Gruppe ranked second with 12.4 million visitors, and Apple.com Worldwide Sites came in third with 8.0 million visitors. Interestingly, French retailer LeGuide.com Sites (6.4 million visitors) was the fourth most popular retail site. Price comparison site Idealo rounded out the top five with 6.2 million visitors.
