The top 3 email properties in Canada show some interesting differences in audience composition by age. The majority of the online audience at Hotmail (21.0%) and Gmail (22.7%) fall in the 25-34 age bracket. However, more than 50 percent of the audience on Yahoo! Mail are ages 35-54, clearly appealing to an older demographic. Hotmail is the #1 email property in Canada, representing 4 out 5 visitors to email sites in June, while Gmail and Yahoo! have a lower penetration of the category at 34 percent and 28 percent, respectively.
