Today, comScore announced the availability of MobiLens in Canada, comScore’s measurement solution for understanding consumer trends in mobile behavior.
The data revealed that Canadians are heavy consumers of mobile media, with 40.6 percent of its total mobile audience using mobile applications and 32.7 percent using mobile browsers. Comparatively, this falls between EU5 mobile subscribers (39.8 percent apps and 31.2 percent browsers) and U.S. mobile subscribers (43.8 percent apps and 39.6 percent browsers). Japan is the definitive leader with 55.7 percent of its total mobile audience using applications and 55.1 percent using mobile browsers. In the cases of all the geographies, use of mobile applications slightly outpaces that of mobile browsers.
